We had a fantastic Jimi Hendrix exhibition with Gered Mankowitz in 2010, but we just realised that Gered’s incredible Rolling Stones archive from 1965 and 1966 was completely underepresented on the gallery website. Gered had some important sessions with the Rolling Stones, not least the cover sessions for Out of Our Heads ( December’s Children) and Between The Buttons, and he accompanied the Stones on their 65 US tour. We wanted to put things right, so, we’ve beefed up the offering and now have a much deeper selection of Gered’s Stones images on the website.
Check out this image of Keith taken at home at Redlands. We really like the way he uses the top rail of the traditional oak panelling lining the room to store his LPs – there’s his current listening : Another Side of Bob Dylan peaking out on the left, with albums by Solomon Burke, The Shirelles and The Supremes on show.
