Eric Meola: Lifetime Achievement Award
PPA (Professional Photographers of America) have awarded Eric their top honour
Eric Meola has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Professional Photographers of America.
This is so well deserved. Eric will be well-known to clients of the gallery as the man who made the 1975 photograph of Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemons that appeared on the cover of Bruce’s third album Born To Run. You can see an extensive selection of his Bruce Springsteen photographs here.
If you click on the green button below, you can watch PPA President Jeff Dachowski present the award, and then see Eric give an acceptance speech in which he tells a great story of sending a postcard to Bruce in April 1975 in the hope that it would lead to him shooting the next album cover. Well, sometimes dreams come true.
