Here’s twenty-year-old Viviane Ventura, photographed by John d Green for Birds of Britain on 19 October 1965 at his Kensington studio.
Viviane, an actress and author, was born in London but spent her childhood in Bogotá, Colombia. In 1958 she returned to the UK, where she started her film career and appeared in films including Carry On Jack, High Wind in Jamaica, Finders Keepers and Battle Beneath the Earth. She has worked with actors who include Anthony Quinn, Cliff Richard, James Coburn, Joan Collins, and Robert Vaughn.
She is the author of two books April Fool, a novel, and a Guide to Social Climbing. Today she runs a publicity company and international talent and events agency.
