Here’s Fay Browning, in a handpainted bikini, photographed by John d Green for Birds of Britain on 7 April 1967 at his Kensington studio. Fay was one of the last to be photographed for the book – John’s very last Birds of Britain session was on 13 April 1967.
This photograph has never been published before. It is being shown for the first time in the Birds of Britain gallery exhibition, and is included in the 2017 sequel to John’s original book, The Big Book of Birds of Britain, published by Ormond Yard Press.
Fay was a well-known model in the mid sixties, and at the time of the shoot was embarking on a short acting career.
