For the duration of the Fifty Years of Rock and Roll Photography exhibition, we are offering a colour photograph from Gered Mankowitz’s Between The Buttons session with The Rolling Stones on London’s Primrose Hill in 1966 as a special offer piece at a significant discount to his standard pricing.
The Stones’ Between The Buttons shoot is one of Gered’s most famous sessions with the band. He smeared vaseline around the edge of his lens to achieve an ethereal, dreamlike effect – reflecting how the band must have been feeling after their all night recording session. (It was an effect he would use many years later when he photographed Oasis, an image which also features in the exhibition.)
The special offer Rolling Stones photograph is made with an 8 x 14 inch image size on 10 x 15 inch paper, in an edition of 200, each one signed and numbered by Gered Mankowitz and embossed with his official archive stamp. It can often help to have framed dimensions, and the one on the gallery wall measures 17 x 22 inches.
An unframed photograph costs £ 495 (approx USD 750) plus tax where applicable.
