  • We are really pleased to be able to offer you the chance to own this wonderful limited edition print by renowned New York City based illustrator, Aaron Meshon. Aaron originally produced this map for an article in Rolling Stone magazine in 2003, and he is releasing it as a limited edition fine art print for the first time to collectors in an updated and improved version. Now the cartographers reading this will start to get picky, as it isn't an exact representation of New Jersey, so we'll be upfront and tell you that you don't want to use this map to get yourself around the state of NJ. If you take it in the spirit it is intended, namely to frame up and hang on your wall - as a fun representation of New Jersey reflecting some of the places name-checked in Bruce Springsteen's songs - you won't go wrong. Despite repeated pleas from Boss fans all around the world who have stumbled across the 2003 version, Aaron has not made the map available to collectors before. It makes an ideal gift for the Boss fan in your life ( who may well be you.) It is a limited edition of 150 individually signed and numbered archival pigment prints on Hahnemuhle fine art paper. The paper measures 13 x 19 inches, and the image size is 11 x 16 inches. Each one is made personally by Aaron in his studio, and signed, numbered and titled on the front under the image.

  • Limited edition ChromaLuxe print of Ray Lowry's original concept sketch for the cover of London Calling by The Clash.   The edition consists of 20 ChromaLuxe prints, each one supplied with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Samuel Lowry - Ray Lowry's son and custodian of the estate of Ray Lowry. Each print has an image size measuring 19 x 19 inches. There is a white border measuring 2.5 inches around all sides of the image, and the overall dimensions are 24 x 24 inches. If you haven’t seen a ChromaLuxe print before, you are in for a treat. They have an ultra-high-gloss finish, with richly saturated colours and a jewel-like appearance. The technique uses a process called dye-sublimation to fuse the image directly on to a 1.25 mm thick panel of white-coated aluminium—which gives them in-built structural rigidity. They hang straight on the wall without additional framing because there is a special subframe on the reverse—this allows the artwork to hang on the wall while appearing to float. Additional framing/glazing is not required (as ChromaLuxe has a scratchproof surface) but can be arranged as an option. ChromaLuxe prints are very light and are easy to ship.  If additional framing is preferred we recommend a black or white tray frame without glazing. Please ask for a quote for this. Please allow up to 3 weeks between order and dispatch. Price includes delivery.

"A few days before the show at Radio City Music Hall, Bowie did a photo session, a rehearsal and an interview at RCA Studio. He went on to do another rehearsal at Radio City Music Hall. Yacco-San was working as the stylist, running here and there with costumes by Kansai Yamamoto that shed brought over from Japan. They looked marvellous." Masayoshi Sukita

In Spines #5 Punk and New Wave, Keith Haynes recreates the spines of thirty-six Punk and New Wave records, including albums by Ramones, Blondie, Sex Pistols and The Clash, to name a few. The starting point is Keith’s own record collection, which he supplements with missing albums he needs for the piece. These 12-inch sleeves are the source materials. Keith then researches all the historic fonts and uses these to recreate the spines himself to build up the artwork. This is not a photograph – it is a drawing that Keith makes from scratch, painstakingly recreating and combining each spine into the overall artwork. There are two versions of Spines #5 Punk and New Wave: a smaller version with a 50 x 50 cm image printed on 66 x 66 cm paper, which can be supplied framed or unframed. The second option is a larger 90 x 90 cm image size (with no white border around the image) which is mounted on dibond and supplied in a black tray frame, ready to hang.
  • In Spines #2 Bowie, Keith Haynes recreates the spines of forty-four David Bowie albums. The colours really pop. Spines #2 David Bowie has a 90 x 90 cm image size (with no white border around the image) mounted on dibond and supplied in a black tray frame, ready to hang. Art Kane: Bob Dylan, Cornered

    £ 2,402£ 12,012
Art Kane was a huge Bob Dylan fan, and literally stalked a very un-cooperative Dylan around an L.A. rooftop to get the shot. Dylan didn't like being told what to do, and Kane didn't shoot reportage style. Dylan, literally cornered, submitted to the direction and gave up the shot with a smouldering look that says, alright, you win. As Kane later recalled " I told him, "I'm going to stay until I get what I want." I finally manoeuvred him into a corner, he slid down and looked up. I had my shot."

  • Frank Stefanko recalls the shoot in Haddonfield, NJ during the winter of 1978: "...he arrived in a slick ’60 Corvette. I think that car was his pride and joy. It was loaded, it was sleek, it ruled Route 9 and the New Jersey Turnpike. I imagined what it would be like to be Bruce, cruising in that Vette up the Pike under that giant Exxon sign in the wee, wee hours, thinking up song ideas while listening to his favorite tunes in that bad-ass Corvette.” Please note that this beautiful photograph is now right down to the wire for the limited edition 30x40 inch paper size option. We now have just one left in inventory - artists proof 4/4 - the very last one in the 30x40 size. It is framed and ready to deliver, and looks incredible in this large size.
  • A signed limited edition photograph showing the full 35mm frame—with the Bond Street underground sign on the left—and the frame rebate. Available in one size only, with the image area (including rebate) measuring 11 x 11 inches. A limited edition of 50 in this size, signed and numbered by Martyn Goddard. Martyn remembers: “For the “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight” single sleeve, we decided to shoot on location. We chose Bond Street tube station on the Central line, mainly, I think, because Bill Smith knew the station well as it was on his daily commute. The shoot took place on 12 September 1978. We waited until late evening before our raid on the station. This was going to be a quick one because we didn’t have permission. I used a 35mm Nikon camera with fast black and white film, pushed to the limit without a tripod, hence the resulting grainy images. The band stood at the end of the platform and I waited until a speeding train emerged out of the tunnel before pressing the shutter. We then made a hasty exit to street level.” Please allow 2-3 weeks between order and delivery for an unframed photograph.  If you would like a quote for framing please just ask. Framing adds 2-3 weeks.

When Columbia Records art director John Berg was asked to show his lifetime body of work at the prestigious Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY, photographer Eric Meola made this contact sheet for him, which shows 31 frames from among two of the nineteen rolls he shot on June 20, 1975, which resulted in perhaps the most iconic and well-known photograph in rock 'n' roll's history--the cover of the album 'Born to Run'.

February 1999 - Santa Monica, California  Robert Sebree recollects: “Tom took an interest in a hot rodded ’54 Chevy pickup I had driven to a previous session, so even though I was still in the process of converting this ’54 Chevy panel delivery into a grip truck I decided to use it to haul my gear to the shoot. When I saw Tom’s eyes light up at the site of the van I think we both knew this shot was going to happen.  After we finished the shoot we went out to the van and hung out. Tom would strum the guitar while we talked and then break into a song which was punctuated with the occasional photograph. The van unlocked some memories for Tom. His father had the same panel truck that he used to drive around Florida wholesaling cigarette lighters to grocery stores when Tom was a kid.” Prices are shown for unframed items, excluding VAT.
