A masterstroke by Alan Klein, many younger fans’ introduction to the Beatles came through the 1973 double album sets 1962-66 and 1967-70: a.k.a. The Red Album and The Blue Album. Ben The Illustrator  celebrates these classic compilations with these limited edition ChromaLuxe prints.   Chromaluxe printing is an archivally stable process that produces prints with outstanding depth and an ultra-high-gloss finish. The technique uses a process called dye sublimation to fuse the image directly on to a 1.2mm panel of white-coated aluminium. The resulting print has richly saturated colours and a jewel-like appearance.  A subframe on the reverse allows the print hang on the wall while appearing to float. Additional framing/glazing is not required (as ChromaLuxe has a scratchproof surface) but can be arranged as an option. ChromaLuxe prints are very light and are easy to ship. There are no additional shipping charges anywhere in the world. Prints are made to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks between order and delivery.

    Ben The Illustrator: Billy

    £ 195£ 5,000
Meet Billy. He loves The Jam. He's in dream time right now, listening to his collection of Jam vinyl. He's got all six of their UK studio albums, and all sixteen of their UK singles. All in picture sleeves of course. What a great way to spend a Sunday. This beautiful new limited edition artwork by Ben the Illustrator is available to purchase in a choice of sizes. The two smaller sizes (small and medium) are archival pigment prints on paper, and prices for these are shown unframed. We can quote you for a frame if you would like us to organise framing/delivery. Just let us know when you put your order in for an unframed print, and we will confirm the cost—which will vary depending on the size, type of glass and your location. Large and Ultra-large sizes are ChromaLuxe prints on high-gloss coated aluminium. ChromaLuxe prints are the absolute perfect match for Ben’s vibrant artworks. If you haven’t seen a ChromaLuxe print before, you are in for a treat. They have an ultra-high-gloss finish, with richly saturated colours and a jewel-like appearance. The technique uses a process called dye-sublimation to fuse the image directly on to a 1.25 mm thick panel of white-coated aluminium—which gives them in-built structural rigidity. They hang straight on the wall without additional framing because there is a special subframe on the reverse—this allows the artwork to hang on the wall while appearing to float. Additional framing/glazing is not required (as ChromaLuxe has a scratchproof surface) but can be arranged as an option. Please allow 2 weeks between order and delivery for small and medium sizes, and 3-4 weeks for large and ultra-large sizes. Check out the options below and give Billy a space on your wall.

    Ben The Illustrator: Liza

    £ 195£ 5,000
Meet Liza. She can't get enough of The Jam. It's Sunday morning and she is surrounded by  Jam vinyl, recovering from a big Saturday night. She's a serious collector, and has first pressings of all six of their UK studio albums, and all sixteen of their UK singles in original sleeves. She likes to crank it up, but has to use headphones as it's still early and she doesn't want to wake the neighbours. • On Monday 8 December 1975 the first leg of Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue came to a close with the Night of the Hurricane concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.  This was a benefit night for Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, the subject of Bob Dylan’s song “Hurricane”, written with Jacques Levy, and which had been released as a single the previous month.  This limited edition letterpress print celebrates that concert, and features the twenty-two songs performed by Bob Dylan that evening. For this print we chose a green Colorplan paper by G. F. Smith - a reference to a background colour on a contemporary button/pin badge featuring Rubin Carter. The two typographic rules appearing at the top and bottom of the print are based on guitar straps used by Bob Dylan on the Rolling Thunder tour.  The limited edition print uses a mix of fonts including the Slab Serif and decorative Americana typefaces associated with Dylan and the time; plus simple bold Grotesque faces used on boxing posters. Each print is handmade and the edition is printed in full at the outset. Prints are in stock and ready to ship. Specifications Limited edition of 75 created from a traditional process in a mix of antique wood and movable type, each one individually numbered. Printed on 270 gsm G.F Smith Colorplan paper. Paper size 40 x 64 cm / 15.75 x 25 inches.  The price is shown for an unframed print. We can organise framing – please ask for a quote for framing and delivery based on your location. There are no delivery charges in the UK for an unframed print.  Delivery charges apply outside the UK mainland.
